Buddy Pegs Learn To Ride - WLFC

Space is limited to 8 children per class

WLFC membership required

These classes are perfect for kids who are not yet pedaling on two wheels (without training wheels). The focus will be to shed the training wheels or progress from balance bike to pedal bike.

Our super fun on-the-bike and off-the-bike activities are built around a unique combination of outdoor play, early childhood education, and adventure by bike.

Kiddos will progress through ninja bicycle skills such as balance, gliding and the transition to early pedaling. Safety skills such as starting/stopping, braking, turning, and speed control will be taught through games and play that allow kids to practice and learn.  

Through these classes, children develop early balance & pedaling skills, a love of riding, self-confidence, and resilience.

This event can accommodate 8 children max.



    • WE DO NOT ALLOW TRAINING WHEELS.  If your child's bike is not a balance bike we will remove pedals to focus on balancing before pedaling. This can cause a little nervousness but don't worry... we have our ways of making it a painless transition! 
    • Be sure your child can comfortably touch the ground on their current bicycle when the training wheels are off.  Contact us if you have questions or need to rent one of our bikes.  Email jannine@buddypegs.com.
    • CLICK HERE TO RENT A BIKE. ($5 per day)
    • CLOSED TOE SHOES ONLY.  No flip flops.


    • Helmet fit will be checked at the beginning of each camp
    • A small number of demo helmets will be available

    Water and snacks:

    • A water bottle or hydration pack
    • Favorite healthy snack/bars. 

      A detailed questionnaire about your child and class waiver will be emailed after purchase.
