What better way to spend a summer week than on a bicycle?
Buddy Pegs founders and youth cycling experts, Scott & Jannine Fitzgerald, are back in the Tetons to offer their nationally recognized early childhood bicycle programs after their 8-month national Raise Riders Tour!
These Learn To Ride camps are perfect for kids (4 - 7 years old) who are not yet pedaling on two wheels (without training wheels). Buddy Pegs Ride Leaders will work hard to ensure that all kids individually progress in their skills and double their bike stoke throughout the week!
Even though many children start the week timid and reluctant, most campers will be pedaling confidently on their own by day two.
While the primary focus of the camp will be on developing balance, early pedaling confidence and a love of two-wheel adventures, campers will also have lots of off-the-bike fun including:
Our super fun on-the-bike and off-the-bike activities are built around a unique combination of outdoor play, early childhood education, and adventure by bike.
Kiddos will progress through ninja bicycle skills such as balance, gliding and the transition to early pedaling. Safety skills such as starting/stopping, braking, turning, and speed control will be taught through games and play that allow kids to practice and learn.
Young riders will love the combination of parking lot Bicycle Playground games, bike path / park trail rides, and beginner pump track sessions as they advance in their skill level and journey towards longer adventures.
Our camps help children grow a love of bicycling and all the tools it helps them develop:
