While out on your next family bike riding adventure, try stopping along the ride to ask your kids, “Hey, I know you might be thinking a-lot about your birthday coming up, but tell me what you want to do the day after your birthday.”

I like to write organically, that is to make sure that the words and feelings I am writing for an episode emerge from what happened in the previous episode. The parade was a big episode with a lot happening in all different directions. Everyone had a good time in the episode. So writing this episode explored the atmosphere after an incredible time and what do we expect, what do we bring to the next day. As Woody says, we have to look at the big picture, which means a picture that does not necessarily revolve around us as individuals. The richness of life, as we are finding out right now, is in our connection to others and the power that giving and responding to others brings to our lives. This episode was written long before the arrival of the pandemic, and the ideas expressed will remain just as important when this particular scourge has receded and been defeated. Everyone has a Badger Cove. Enjoy and share it with others
